Wichita State men’s team finished second, while Rebekah Topham won the Women’s Most Valuable Indoor Performance award at the American Athletic Conference Championships.
Rebekah Topham “Topped ’em” with two extraordinarily electrifying efforts in the Mile and 3000 Meters. Rebekah entered the mile ranked No. 5 in the conference and made her mark with a 4:49.60 finish. The 3000 Meters defending champion, Hannah Miller of SMU, had to settle for 2nd place as Rebekah came across that final white line with a time of 9:32.45. Rebekah’s third gutsy performance came the day before when she anchored the Distance Medley Relay, helping her team finish in First Place.
